Common questions

The model is not responding. What should I check?

For Built-in, check that the model download is complete and the model is selected. For a local service, make sure it is running. For remote providers, check the endpoint, model name, credentials, and network connection in Settings.

What can I add to the knowledge base?

Import UTF-8 text files and PDFs with a text layer. Scanned PDFs need OCR first. Keyword search works locally; semantic search requires a configured embedding model.

How do I resume interrupted work?

Resume or discard an interrupted chat in Chat; the interrupted model turn may run again. Resume workflows in Tasks: completed steps are not replayed. Pending approvals must be reviewed again after recovery.

Do scheduled workflows run when the app is closed?

No. Scheduled workflows run while PrivyAgent is running. You can choose to catch up on a missed run when the app starts. Interrupted workflows can be resumed manually.

Why are my MCP tools unavailable?

Check that the Streamable HTTP server is reachable and enabled for this project. Verify its credentials and refresh its tools in Settings. Remote servers require HTTPS; stdio is not supported.
